There are different kinds of counselling to suit each person. I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor, which means I offer compassionate support to my clients in a non-directive way, so they can explore the things they need to in confidence and without judgement.
Many people ask how I became a counsellor. For me, it all started when I decided to go to therapy myself. It helped me to see that although life is difficult sometimes, the right kind of support can make a real difference, and this realisation inspired me.
Today, I spend my time running my own private practice, I work with businesses to support employees mental health and I also work with charities providing counselling for their clients. So, I get the chance to work with many interesting people, supporting them through a wide range of issues and worries.
As a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists I take real pride in working in the best way for all my clients. So, I have regular supervision myself, attend industry recognised training courses to stay up to date, and I carry professional indemnity insurance, giving you the peace of mind you need that I’ll work in a caring and professional way from our first conversation.
